My journey in public life is rooted in dedication, discipline, and a deep commitment to the welfare of society, especially the fishing community of Tamil Nadu. Coming from humble beginnings and understanding the struggles faced by ordinary people, I have always believed that true leadership is about serving people with honesty, compassion, and responsibility. This belief continues to guide my social, political, and public service activities.
It is a matter of great pride and gratitude that the respected Edappadi K. Palaniswami entrusted me with the important responsibility of serving as the Joint Secretary of the State Fishermen’s Wing of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK). AIADMK is not merely a political movement; it is a party built on the ideals of people’s welfare, social justice, and inclusive development. The party was founded by the legendary former Chief Minister M. G. Ramachandran, whose life and leadership inspired millions across Tamil Nadu. The movement was further strengthened and elevated by the visionary leadership of the revered former Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa, affectionately known as “Amma,” whose dedication to the welfare of the people remains unforgettable.
Being part of such a historic and people-oriented movement is both an honor and a responsibility. Through my role in the AIADMK State Fishermen’s Wing, I am committed to strengthening the organization at every level and ensuring that the voices of fishermen are heard and respected. The fishing community forms the backbone of many coastal regions in Tamil Nadu, contributing significantly to the economy while facing numerous social and economic challenges. I strongly believe that fishermen deserve better opportunities, improved living conditions, educational support, healthcare access, and stronger representation in policymaking.
My mission is to work tirelessly for the welfare, rights, safety, and upliftment of fishermen and their families. I aim to build stronger connections with grassroots communities, understand their concerns directly, and work toward practical and lasting solutions. I also believe that political leadership should always remain close to the people and responsive to their needs.
The guiding force behind my public service is the official campaign slogan of AIADMK: “மக்களை காப்போம், தமிழகத்தை மீட்போம்,” which means “Let us protect the people and restore Tamil Nadu.” This powerful message reflects my own vision and commitment toward society. Protecting people’s welfare, preserving social harmony, supporting the underprivileged, and contributing to the progress of Tamil Nadu are principles that shape my journey every day.
With faith in hard work, respect for leadership, and dedication to public welfare, I continue my journey with the goal of serving society in a meaningful way. I believe that leadership is not about power or position, but about responsibility, service, and the ability to create positive change in the lives of people.
