Member – National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB)

Born into a traditional fisherman family and having devoted several decades to the welfare, development, and representation of fishing communities, I have consistently worked with a sense of service, humility, and commitment. My life journey spanning grassroots fishermen leadership, international professional exposure and entrepreneurial initiatives—has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of both the challenges and opportunities within the fisheries sector. Therefore, the Central Government led by The HonoUrable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi Ji, appointed me as a member of the National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB).

I firmly believe that my lived experience as a fisherman, combined with administrative exposure, policy engagement, and global best practices, will enable me to contribute meaningfully to strengthening India’s fisheries governance, sustainability, fishermen welfare, and institutional growth under the vision of the Government of India.

I express my gratitude to The Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi Ji, and The Honourable Union Minister for Fisheries, and The Honourable Ministers of State for appointing me as a member to serve our nation over the National Fisheries Development Board.
